A great afternoon with our dear friends in town from England (but actually they are from Maryland, just home visiting from their new home in England).
Promising name, supported by a tag line that invites you inside (Cakelove| Cakes from Scratch). So wasn't impressed with the 'Cynthia's Sin' cupcake, but the lemon bar was divine. If you like your lemon to punch you in the jaw during your dessert experience, this bar is for you.
And the new location of the Awakening at the National Harbor is perfection.
New friend, chalk, and sombreros. What more could these little girls ask for in one afternoon?

P.S. Anna and E are bff. My favorite is that now e picks her nose and eats it. Thank you, Anna, for teaching her that new trick in less than 4 hours! Fast work!
