Hello, again.

It's been a while. I am sorry.
We had such a wonderful, happy, love-filled day.
I changed my 1 to 2 parent to child ratio outing strategy, putting h in the stroller, to doze at will, and lengthened the bjorn to accommodate e. Mr. Monkey (the safety strap--well, I call it that, j calls it the leash) kept her SAFE (again my word...) while walking, and when she tired, I lifted her up and kept her close.
She loved it.
I loved it.
The bjorn is built for weight, so my back loved it.
H snoozed and studied the world around her at will...as anticipated.
When we arrived home, e was such a happy girl.
She wanted to be with me, doing everything I did.
We cut mushrooms, dumped spinach, selected the very best Craisins from the bag, last minutely decided to add the lime- and chile-flavored peanuts, poured in cherry balsamic vinaigrette, and tossed the most amazing salad. ever.
I don't know when I have enjoyed her company more.
It even rubbed off on her appetite. She ate everything tonight: bread, salad, and soup. She even passed on dessert.
Okay, seriously, she passed on a CHOCOLATE dessert.
Hmm...I bet tomorrow is going to be a beast.

taken with the phone camera....
And apparently we take tea time pretty seriously here at casa de w.

And then just because she is my angel baby:

  2. What a fun day. I so love days like that. And tea-parties are very serious business over here too. Berlin and E would get along famously!

  4. kj, yup that is a princess dress. we have to thank our texas cousins for outgrowing 'dress up, mommom, dress up' dresses. i never thought i was going to have girls. and if i was going to have girls, i never thought they would have glittered-sleeved princess dresses and little mermaid tea sets. :) i am glad that they get those things though, because they sure seem to love them.

  5. So you like my green IKEA dish -- lol when I sat the table I had a good chuckle myself over it - and thought that it was definitely classy as well as leaving the sour cream in the container. But the less dishes the better...:)I haven't talked to you in ages -- I wish you lived close by. I miss you.
