because he is heat-trace amazing

you may know this, but we don't sleep much or enjoy much all-together-family time. mr j and i work a lot. we are trying to make some dreams come true, which means burning the candlestick on both ends (as my mother would say).
so, i'm at work until 2:30a tonight and mr j has successfully put the girls down for bed, snuck outside, hooked up his work lights, and heat-traced our PLUMBING out to the goats (that's right!!! no more hauling buckets of water in the freezing cold, or breaking ice, or... Turn on faucet and viola!) and installed a loft in the goat house so the hay is right on hand when it's time to feed. it's not pretty yet, and we still need to insulate (strike we, he needs to insulate) and build a base for the buckets and enclose the pipes in an attractive manner, but that is a project for next weekend when the girls go to bed and i work.
it's so cold now during the day, the girls get sick if they play outside for much more than 20 minutes.
so poor mr j is stymied.
so there he is, sneaking out of the house (so the girls don't insist on joining him) to build stuff.
here's the result:

and here's the pilgrim bonnets and hats i made for the thanksgiving roasted beast feast:

isn't kaity amazing?

thankful for him.
