changing of tides

Our dacha has seen a steady flow of janises' since the weather warmed up and we have loved every minute! The girls wake up every day wondering who we will see and where we are going...i'm pretty sure they are having fun this summer.
So, big time treat: yesterday and today we had wheeler texas family. The long awaited meeting of baby p occurred! She's cute, she's fat (relatively...), she's disinterested in greek yogurt, and very interested in strawberries, with wheeler eyes and pretty much everything else burnham, she stole our hearts and left us wanting more! She conquered the goats (even hee haaw rode a few), took a flying leap of joy from a standing-propped-up-by-little-black-goat position (which resulted in flat-backing it on the dirt), slept twice, plus a solid eleven hour night with only one feeding interruption, and never stopped babbling and making raspberries. oh, and we sure didn't mind her mom and dad either ;).
the days were a bit hectic and i didn't capture anywhere close to the pictures i would have liked, and one cannot post bathtime pictures on an open blog...so you are stuck with pictures of my girls in their papi day attire from abuela in MD. e's face is her version of "make up" and h has the customary "neh neh" around her neck.
so, kj, n8, please come back, in say, july? so we can get some more pictures :) thanks for a relaxing day and the excuse to make delicious chicken salad!
oh, and btw, kj has this great way of cooking sweet potatoes: wedge 'em, sprinkle 'em with cinnamon, and bake 'em. YUM!
