Masonry awaits. This picture is so exciting I am about to jump through this keyboard and do a schimmie, schimmie, rock step, spin! Our kind neighbor, and owner of a john deere tractor, moved these huge rocks from the pasture to the orchard--where we are going to build a sweet little stone wall!!!!!!! It's so exciting to realize dreams and projects! There are already tiny pears, plums, apricots, peaches, and apples dotting the trees--promising deliciousness and delightful consumption. Our roses are blooming in neon pink, country yellows, and ultra-feminine shades of 'rose.' I pinch myself a couple of times a day just to make sure I am awake. Yes. I get to live in a little garden of Eden. Yes. I get to connect with nature's rhythm and learn from her, in patience, in diligence, in steadily marching on. Grateful for life.
For love.
For a second chance.
Every.
Single.
Day.

  1. Sigh. Our crumbly clay excuse for soil drives me nuts. And we get stretches of just heat, heat, heat, humidty, and sun that just bakes everything and it's so hard to grow anything - especially when you're still not very good at it. It's just depressing. I'm sooo glad you're getting to enjoy it, though! Yeah for you!!
