Thanks and Beauty

Ah!!!! The deliciousness of family, feasts, and free online karaoke! What a riot we had! I' m still riding the euphoric wave.

Our little girls have been a bit overwhelmed at the number of cousins and aunts and uncles that love them and want to hold them and the noise and the fun. But, Thanksgiving was the turning point. They now understand what a BIG family means = FUN! ;)

My brave sister in law had 38 people over for dinner. Big moments were a newly married niece delivering on the mashed potato assignment (fresh herbs ROCK!), my husband--dear mr. j--got a turkey leg (since "under 8" children went first, he cleverly recruited his wife, who recruited the 2-year old), an impromptu prep and performance of "For the Beauty of the Earth" (in which yours truly made her debut on youtube), a thrilling baby announcement of our dearly loved red heads, and then raucous karaoke!

A thankful season and a load of fun!

We are settling into our house and the biggest change is the kitchen size. Something about open space and gleaming white countertops, cupboards, and floor that makes me want to make a big 'ole mess of scrumptious food. THANK HEAVENS for dishwashers! Seriously.
